With the arrival of the Findel tram scheduled for the end of 2024, we have been commissioned to plant large trees and hedges on the brand-new Höhenhof boulevard next to the airport. Eventually, this area will become a real mobility hub, with a P+R, a cycle path and a tram line with bus and tram stops.

BEFORE
This is what the area looked like before the redevelopment of the Senningerberg interchange and the construction of the new Höhenhof boulevard.
After
The worksite in detail
1.
Planting of 90 tall trees
Ginkgo biloba 'Fastigiata', Liquidambar styraciflua 'Worpleson' and Acer platanoides 'Columnare' have been planted to structure the edges of the various lanes.
These trees, with their distinctive characteristics, are ideal for creating interesting perspectives. They share a slender, columnar habit, ideal for alignments. All also offer marked seasonal interest, with spectacular autumn colors.
2.
Installation of 340 ml of hedge
We planted a Carpinus betulus hedge with 25 Fagus sylvatica 'Atropunicea'. To maintain this hedge, a 3-wire fence was installed inside it.
- The light-green foliage of the hornbeam contrasts elegantly with the purple leaves of the beech, creating a dynamic, colorful plant hedge all year round.
- This mix adds visual depth and seasonal appeal thanks to the changing autumnal hues.
- These two species also make excellent privacy screens, even in winter.
